What's it all about?

Every Saturday 8am - 1pm

Our Farmers Market at Taylor Square is a community, not-for-profit food market where local growers, farmes and artisan producers sell their wares directly to consumers. Stallholders sell what they grow, farm, pickle, preserve, bake, smoke or catch themselves from a defined regional area.

We operate our market because:

1. It provides an outdoor community meeting place every week for inner city dwellers.

2. It reduces your environmental footprint by reducing the distance your food travels to get to you.

3. You meet and know the people who grow and make your food.

4. 100% of your dollars go directly to the farmer that you are buying your produce from.

We’re passionate about fuelling the revolution towards sustainable cooking and other sustainable lifestyle practices. During September & October, the markets will also feature a Pop-Up Education Area, made possible by a City of Sydney Environmental grant. You'll able to attend practical workshops on organic gardening, urban beekeeping, worm farming, composting & more. We’ll also slip in some fantastic cooking demonstrations with local chefs.

Or, if you just feel like soaking up the spring sunshine – order a coffee, pull up a milk crate at our communal tables, and enjoy the market vibe.
